Dialogues d’Hier explores the intricacies of memory through the prism of travel and human experience. In today's era of constant movement and rapid change, memory becomes a shifting landscape where recollections overlap, fragment, and transform.
At the heart of the artist duo's approach is the idea of the bus shelter as a place of transition, embodying the passage from one state to another. By transforming it into a symbolic space, Dialogues of Yesterday invites personal and collective exploration, a continued journey within an imaginary environment where distinct yet intimately connected experiences converse.
Using photomontage and collage techniques, the artists create unexpected juxtapositions from which emerge landscapes, sometimes familiar, sometimes unrecognizable, preserved by memory or altered by the reality of natural disasters. By celebrating the diversity of travel experiences, the work addresses questions of identity and memory in relation to current climate issues.
